Pastor Dwight A. Hunt
Pastor Dwight A. Hunt is the seventh child born to Bishop James E. Hunt & Leatrice E. Hunt (both deceased). Bishop James E. Hunt founded several churches, including, Beth-El Church of God in Christ in Poughkeepsie, New York where Pastor Dwight A. Hunt presides.
In 1994, Pastor Hunt was called to the ministry. He attended the Spirit of Truth Institute in Virginia and the Mid-Hudson Bible Institute, graduating with honors. In 1997, he was ordained.
He also earned a secular college degree in Sociology from Empire State College in Albany, New York. Pastor Hunt worked closely with his father, as an Assistant Pastor until his passing July 2011; he was installed as Senior Pastor on September 31, 2011. Pastor Hunt grew the ministry; opening new fellowships throughout Dutchess County and Ulster County New York; thus the James E. Hunt Memorial District was formed:

Pastor Hunt is recognized in the community of Poughkeepsie, as well as the surrounding areas. He is respected and honorably represents Beth-El Church Of God In Christ. Pastor Hunt is a retired NYS Corrections Officer and committed to changing the lives of Gods people by showing love, compassion and humility.
