Biography of
Pastor Dwight A. Hunt

Dwight A. Hunt was born on December 27, 1965, to Dr. James Edward and Leatrice Earnestine Hunt. He is one of seven children. He attended the local public schools, graduating from Poughkeepsie High School in the summer of 1984. Elder Hunt enrolled and attended Dutchess Community College in 1984. While there, he studied electrical engineering. Subsequent to his graduation, Dwight Hunt completed two years of religious education at the Mid Hudson Bible Institute.

In 1994, Pastor Hunt felt a call to the ministry and rededicated his life to the Lord that year. The following year, on April 14, 1995, Elder Hunt received his licensure to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The church has watched this young man grow by leaps and bounds under the anointing of the spirit of God. His gifts and talents are many, captivating his audiences with the wisdom of God, articulation of speech and oratorical skills. His gifts in teaching, application, and interpretation of the Word of God sustain and enhance the church. It energizes the believer to reach maximum potential.

Between 1994 and 1998, Pastor Hunt worked on a Graduate degree and a Doctorial degree simultaneously. He graduated with Honors from the Spirit of Truth Institute in Richmond, Virginia, in 1998. In 1999, Pastor Hunt earned a degree in Sociology from Empire State College in Albany, New York.

In 1995 through 1996, Pastor Hunt condensed his theological studies at the Mid Hudson Bible Institute, writing his thesis in 1996 and received his Bachelors of Theology degree. He was ordained an an Elder on August 23, 1997. Pastor Dwight is an ardent and astute student of the Bible. He is a master at synthesizing volumes of information into the most pertinent principles for church health and growth, and additionally has the ability to convert complex truths into understandable concepts. We are truly blessed to have this treasure in earthen vessel among us.
